Great article, thanks for sharing it! To become interesting, you need to focus on yourself. When you're trying to be the "nice guy/girl," you're trying to please other people. You're taking too much interest in them, and not enough interest in yourself.

Follow your passions, explore new things/ideas, and be yourself.

You don't need to be a jerk about it, though some may see prioritizing yourself as being rude. In those cases, it's best to avoid those types of people anyways...
