Good article! I disagree with this highlighted quote. While the loading potential on the deadlift is insane, there is a limit to it. If there was unlimited progressive potential, you'd see guys pulling 2000 lb deadlifts.
Also, these three movements offer a lot of variety of movements if you get bored. For example, with squats, you can switch to front squats, hack squats, or goblet squats. With deadlifts, you can add in sumo deadlifts, RDLs, trap bar deadlifts, and so on. And with lunges, you can add in Bulgarian split squats if you get bored.
