But I'll caution writers with this: Don't offer a counterintuitive take just for the sake of it.

Only offer counterintuitive takes if you believe them to be true or think that they could be true.

Offering counterintuitive advice to firmly established facts/topics is risky business. You could be trying to reinvent the wheel...
